SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes expending $400,000 for City of Toledo Parks infrastructure revitalization. Funds will be used to support the purchase and installation of benches, picnic tables, and grills, and the repaving/reconstruction of pathways and parking lots, the manufacturing and installation of new city park signage, and the upgrading of other infrastructure items. Funds for this initiative are included in the approved Capital Improvement Plan budget.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $400,000 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-40100-8CP2215PRKIMP for the City of Toledo Parks infrastructure revitalization initiative.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 1, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Law and the Director of Parks and Youth Services.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above account code in payment of the above authorized obligations in amounts not to exceed $400,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, hea...
