SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The funds are granted by Toledo LISC to support the planning for a natural play space to be installed at Paul William Alexander Park on Superior Street. They are specifically designated to cover the costs to hold community engagement activities with the neighborhood, and will be paid out to program partners involved in the project to cover those expenses.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo

SECTION 1. That an amount not to exceed $10,000 is authorized to be accepted from Toledo LISC and deposited into the Operation Grants Fund 2016-60500-7G02021STDSTD for the payment to programming partners for planning of a natural play space at Paul William Alexander Park.

SECTION 2. That the appropriation of an amount not to exceed $10,000 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-60500-7G02021STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized for the payment to The Toledo Zoological Society and the Friendly Center as programming partners for planning of a natural play space at Paul William Alexander Park.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Department is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the Account Code in Section 2 in payment of the above-authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $10,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
