Toledo Fire and Rescue Department is requesting the purchase of 80 Bullard Firefighting Helmets.
This equipment is an essential part of the firefighter's protective equipment. This equipment protects the firefighter against head injuries from falling debris during firefighting.

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That this Council finds it is in the best interest of the City to waive the competitive bid requirements of TMC Chapter 187 for the reason to maintain necessary uniformity in the make and model of the safety equipment the Fire & Rescue Department utilizes and Atlantic Emergency Solutions is the sole source service provider for the purchase of 80 Bullard Firefighting Helmets.
