SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this legislation is to allow the Toledo Police Department to receive grant proceeds in the amount of $121,860.55 from federal JAG funds for the purchase of body worn cameras. There are no matching requirements for this grant. This legislation further authorizes the expenditure of $11,826.95 from the General Fund for the purchase of body worn cameras. A total of 195 body worn cameras will be purchased with this legislation for a total expenditure of $133,687.50.
