SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Friendship Park Community Center submitted a District Improvement Program application for the Friendship Park Community Center Improvement Project in District 6. The proposal includes the purchase of two oscillating pedestal fans for the lunchroom, the repair of the center's roof and a backup generator for a total of $100,500. The District Improvement Review Committee convened on April 24, 2020, and recommended approval of this application in part in an amount not to exceed $30,800. The purchase of the two oscillating pedestal fans in an amount not to exceed $800 and the repair of the roof in an amount not to exceed $30,000 are being recommended for approval. The request for a backup generator is not being recommended for approval.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That a sum not to exceed $30,800 is authorized for expenditure from Account Code 5040-16400-8CP1817DNGPRO for the District Improvement Program, Friendship Park Community Center Improvement Project for the purchase of two oscillating pedestal fans and the repair of the Friendship Park Community Center Roof, as detailed in Attachment A.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the necessary contract(s) for the District Improvement Program, Friendship Park Community Center Improvement Project upon such terms and conditions as shall be approved by the Director of the Department of Development, the Director of Public Service and the Director of Law.
