SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Toledo Celtics Soccer Club submitted a District Improvement Program application for the Schneider Park Improvement Project in District 2. The proposal includes the purchase of new soccer goals with safeguards to help prevent major, avoidable accidents and improve the aesthetic of the park, as well as a storage container to place the goals and complex equipment during winter months. The District Improvement Review Committee convened on February 26, 2020, and recommended approval of this application in an amount not to exceed $19,000.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That a sum not to exceed $19,000 is authorized for expenditure from Account Code 5040-16400-8CP1817DNGPRO for the District Improvement Program, Schneider Park Improvement Project, as detailed in Attachment A.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the necessary contract(s) for the District Improvement Program, Schneider Park Improvement Project upon such terms and conditions as shall be approved by the Director of the Department of Development, the Director of Public Service and the Director of Law.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above account code in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed that authorized in Section 1 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
