SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
By agreement effective November 2, 1999, the District Advisory Committee for the Lucas County General Health District, the Board of Commissioners of Lucas County, Ohio and the cities of Toledo, Maumee, Sylvania, and Oregon established a regional combined health district. The Agreement has been amended periodically for the purposes of adding a board member or extending the term of the Agreement. As there are no substantive changes made to the Agreement at this time, a request is being made to extend the contract from December 31, 2019 to January 1, 2021.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to execute an amendment to the Agreement between the Chairman of the Lucas County General Health District Advisory Council, the Lucas County Board of Commissioners, and the other Lucas County subdivisions participating in the regional combined health district (the "Agreement") extending the Agreement through 2020, with an option for renewals thereafter, subject to terms and conditions approved by the Mayor, Safety Director and the Director of Law.

SECTION 2. That expenditures are authorized from the General Fund subject to appropriations for the purpose authorized in Section 1; and the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants in payment of the above obligations authorized upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The ...
