Title

Authorizing the disappropriation of $130,000 from personnel service accounts in the Facility Operations Fund; authorizing the appropriation and expenditure of $130,000 from the supplies and services account in the Facility Operations Fund for facility services, authorizing the mayor to enter into contracts for said projects; and declaring an emergency.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

Facility Operations has encountered a steady increase of work orders for the over 200 physical structures that are owned by the City of Toledo.  Facility Operations has realized salary savings from various vacancies during the year.  The current savings of $130,000 will be reappropriated to fund current and potential work orders for the rest of 2019.

The fiscal impact of this ordinance is as follows:

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

SECTION 1.  That the disappropriation in the amount of $130,000 is authorized from personnel services accounts in the Facility Operations Fund, Account Code 7093-26100-1147001STDSTD.

 

SECTION 2.                      That an appropriation of $130,000 from the unappropriated balance of the Facility Operations Fund Account Code 7093-26100-1147001STDSTD is authorized for various repair parts and material purchases; and further authorizing the expenditure of same.

 

                     SECTION 3.                     That the Finance Director is authorized to issue his warrant or warrants against the above Account Code in an amount not to exceed $130,000 in payment of all obligations authorized above upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.

 

                     SECTION 4.                     That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage.  The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately for the timely reallocation of budgeted funds to purchase necessary goods for city facility repairs.
