Title

Amending Ordinance 380-18, by repealing Section 1 and enacting a new Section 1 in order to re-classify the purpose of the expenditure; and declaring an emergency.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department will be able to complete Capital Improvement Projects of roof replacement needed for Fire Station Seven and roof repairs for station 4 and station 14. This Ordinance makes the necessary corrections to Ordinance 380-18 by amending Section 1 in said legislation.  

 

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

                     SECTION 1.                     That Section 3 in Ordinance 380-18 which reads as follows:

 

                     “SECTION 1.                     That the expenditure of $60,000 is authorized from the Capital                      Improvement Fund, account code 5040-53000-8CP1824FIRERF, for the cost of roof                      replacement needed for fire stations Seven and Thirteen.”

 

Is repealed

 

SECTION 2.                     That new Section 1 in Ordinance 380-18 is enacted to read as follows:

                     

                     “SECTION 1.                     That the expenditure of $60,000 is authorized from the Capital                      Improvement Fund, account code 5040-53000-8CP1824FIRERF, for the roof                      replacement needed for Fire Station Seven and roof repairs for station 4 and station 14.”

 

                     SECTION 3.  That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw her warrant or warrants against the account code listed in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $60,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

 

                     SECTION 4.   That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage.  The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that this purchase is needed to maintain safe and efficient fire and rescue operations.
