Body

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

The Division of Streets, Bridges & Harbor has a written policy for work attire and head protection for the purpose of personal protective equipment (PPE) for all employees.  A contract for work attire will provide highly visible and reflective protective clothing and gear that meet or exceed all ANSI (American National Standards Institute) safety standards.  The clothing and gear provided to employees will provide protection from adverse weather conditions.  The contract will also provide consistency within the Division so that there is professional uniformity and pride in appearance.  Funds of up to $40,000 for the purchase of work attire will come from the 2019 divisional operating budget.  Replacement items/additional items will need to be purchased in future years.
