SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes the mayor to enter into an agreement, accept and deposit up to $195,000 from the Lucas County Port Authority for the purchase of a HVAC system for the Sewer and Drainage Services facility. The existing heating system is original to the building and has exceeded its useful life. Parts are no longer available for maintaining this system that is essential for keeping our sewer cleaning trucks and pumps from freezing in the winter.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement, accept and deposit $195,000 from the Lucas County Port Authority BetterBuildings Program into the Sanitary Sewer Replacement Fund Account Code 6073-37000-4UC1019STDSTD (HVAC replacement).
SECTION 2. That the sum of $195,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Sanitary Sewer Replacement Fund to Account Code 6073-37000-4UC1019STDSTD and authorized for expenditure for the HVAC replacement.
