This ordinance authorizes the Mayor to enter into an Agreement with Beren Equipment Co. LLC dba Cherry Picked Auto Parts for the removal of salvage vehicles from the Toledo Police Impound Lot. A competitive bid was posted on Planet Bids and Beren Equipment Co. LLC submitted the best overall bid.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement for one (1) year, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms with Beren Equipment Co. LLC for the removal of salvage vehicles at the Toledo Police Impound Lot.

SECTION 2. That the amount of $220.50 per salvage vehicle is authorized for deposit into the Toledo Police Impound Lot account code 607T-52000-3391001STDSTD.

SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that the ordinance must be immediately effective in order to enter into the Agreement with Beren Equipment Co. LLC to maintain public safety.
